Guided kayak trips for beginners to experienced paddlers. All trips are weather, forecast and sea-state dependent.
Shetland has an amazing coastline. We offer guided sea kayaking trips. No experience necessary through to experienced kayakers. Taster, half day and full day trips on offer. We are not about speed or distance, but about exploring the amazing coastline and getting close to the cliffs, seabirds and sometimes seals.
You will be provided with a Buoyancy Aid and waterproofs to wear over your own clothes. Your group will be accompanied by at least one, often two well-qualified kayak coaches. They will give you basic tuition if required and help you to make the most of your kayaking experience.
We have two double kayaks; the rest are single closed-cockpit kayaks. We also have a canoe for taster sessions if yours is a family group with little ones. If you have no transport, we may be able to arrange collection and drop off so you can come out with us; and if possible, we are able to collect and return cruise liner passengers from the pier. We do not have a schedule of trips, but decide the location based on prevailing conditions and the weather forecast.
