John Leask & Son have been operating in the Shetland transport industry for almost a century. Founded in 1919, the company grew from a taxi service into one of Shetland's main providers of buses and coaches for both public and private use.
Leasks became the Shetland agent for Allied Airways when that company commenced air services to and from Shetland in 1936, and from those early beginnings it developed into Shetland's largest travel agency, specialising in all forms of business and holiday travel. The travel agency division closed in December 2011, and today John Leask & Son focus on operating a modern fleet of mini buses, buses and coaches on local public services, summer tours and private hire throughout Shetland.
