We are holding Shetland's first ever Tourism Industry Conference on the 15th November, 2022, at the Shetland Museum and Archives!

Next month will see a full-day event held at the Shetland Museum and Archives, Shetland's first ever tourism industry conference. Previously there have been events directed at specific parts of the industry but for the first time the Shetland Tourism Association is staging a conference which aims to attract a broad range of industry stakeholders and tourism businesses.

The jam-packed programme will include talks and workshops on a wide variety of topics. There will be keynote speakers from Shetland and from further afield. They will be presenting on Green Tourism, Sustainable Tourism, Visit Scotland Business Services, Rural Tourism Development, Shetland's GeoPark Status, Food Tourism Opportunities, Cruise Tourism Opportunities, and a presentation and Q&A on Promote Shetland's Destination Marketing Activities.

There will also be a series of more interactive workshops for you to choose from, including Agritourism Opportunities in Shetland, Shetland Geology, the new Short Term Let Licensing regulations, Developing Shetland Food and Drink Excellence, and Making your business more visible - developing a digital strategy you can maintain.

There will also be plenty of opportunities to network with other businesses and industry bodies throughout the day with lunch and refreshments provided.

Tickets are available to Shetland Tourism Association Members, free of charge. Based on availability they will then be offered to Shetland Food & Drink Members and Shetland Arts & Crafts Members. Any further tickets will then be offered to interested members of the public.

Association members will receive a bookings link to reserve their place - there are a limited number of tickets and each business can reserve a maximum of two tickets. Please note that due to limited availability we do ask that you book only if you are sure you will be able to attend.

The STA reserves the right to charge for the full cost of any unused bookings. Booking is essential.
